To do South London boiler services efficiently, you need to be based

I offer a full, comprehensive service on any type of domestic gas
boiler. Boiler servicing is important. It is generally advised to
have your boiler serviced annually. Very similar to cars, boilers
that don't get serviced in time are much more likely to fail and
fall apart much earlier.
In the vast majority of cases a good service and if need be one or two
upgrades will remove the need for a new boiler. Many of the old
machines were very well build, and have still years of service left.
Many thousands of people have a "service contract" with the "gasboard" or one of the other
big, national companies, and think their boiler gets a service every
year. Unfortunately, countless numbers are mistaken or possibly even
purposely mislead. What they get every year is not a service, but a
safety check. Apparently, it is cheaper for large companies to just
let the boiler run until it fails and then patch it up, then to
maintain it as should be done. How is this possible?
For a number of boilers, there is no legal obligation to strip it and
actually really service it, as long as a flue gas sample meets
certain criteria. For me, personally, that makes as much sense as
not changing the oil in the car until the red light comes on.
What is the difference with my boiler service for South London?
When I say I do a service, I will actually strip the
boiler and clean it.
A good heating engineer will also check for any signs of corrosion, and warn you if it is not sure
that the system is adequately protected. Rust/corrosion are the
number one reason for boiler failure and significant reduction of
lifespan. Only recently was I called out to a boiler that had a
funny smell, and found it had completely rotted through in several
places. Repairing it would have cost more than the boiler itself had
cost only seven years ago. This was in South London; my boiler
service would have saved a lot of hassle, and well over a thousand
pounds.
If your boiler is old, but not worn out, keep it. It makes no
difference wheter it is a combi boiler, conventional boiler,
condensing boiler or quite old boiler. A bit of tlc can add many
years of reliable comfort to most boilers
If something needs replacing, replace it before it fails. If it
needs cleaning, clean it before it gets stuck. If you just let it
run until it fails, you run the risk of being told: your boiler is
beyond economic repair. Many central heating breakdown policies have
restrictions, or in other words: small print. Examples are: the
company is not obliged to attempt repairs on boilers over 7, 9 or 10
years old. If the cost of the repair exceeds 400, 500 or even 700
pounds, the company can offer for example 200 pounds towards
replacing the boiler.

I get new clients on a regular basis that have been told
they need a new boiler ( for which the gasboard gave a hefty quote
of course ). Most of the time, it is lack of proper servicing, and
nothing that a good clean can't solve. Clean the boiler inside,
get the debris out of the system, ( see flushing or powerflushing
) and usually, the boiler will last for years.
