Combi boiler repairs South London
Combi boiler repairs in
South London done properly by an experienced Gas Safe Register heating engineer.
Lots of (gas) plumbers can do installs, but repairing a boiler is a different story.
As a local registered gas installer, I can take care of any central heating system in south
London and Bromley. as long as I can get the parts that I need for them, there are no other problems
with any makes or models of combi boiler repairs.
This type of heating can be "relatively" difficult compared to heat only systems because there are more parts inside.
I use the word relatively because it is only in comparison with conventional
models. For heating engineers who specialise in repairs and have sufficient knowledge, skill and experience, it really is not a problem.

Conventional boilers simply heat the water flowing directly through the heat exchanger and it leaves the boiler between 10 and 20 degrees warmer than it came in. A combi boiler also
supplies hot water directly to the taps, shower and bath, and therefore has a number of ex a parts, sensors and mechanically moving items.
There are some essential differences between a combi boiler and a conventional system. There are also a lot of misunderstandings about what is what, and why the problem is happening.
Those that claim they can do a repairs on combis but don't actually really know what they are doing, tend to blame the problems on the wrong things.
The boiler is too small for this house. They are only for flats. The pcb is gone. There is not enough pressure in this area. A repair to a combi can only be done after a powerflush. Do look at
the page about power flushing, it is a subject by itself. Although each of these reasons really is the cause of the problem, more often than not it is an just an excuse.
How To avoid the most common cons and rip offs
It is a fact, that there are pro's and con's about these boilers. Most of the horror stories you hear about them vary from exaggeration to complete myth. Provided the gas and water supply to your
property are up to 21st century standards, a combi boiler will provide ample heat and hot water for an average household. The larger models i.e. 35 kW are powerful enough to supply two showers
simultaneously, and if they don't, there is either a problem with the boiler, or there is a flaw in the installation.
You can split boilers in different categories, which you can do either by system or by efficiency. If you use the latter, you have a combi or a conventional boiler, although officially you should call
it a "heat-only boiler" or system boiler. The other way of differentiating is by efficiency. High efficiency boilers are also known as condensing boilers, are one group, standard efficiency boilers are
the other type.
What makes my combi boiler repair service different from any other plumbing company? It's a good question, a valid question and luckily there are some
wers.
I guarantee results.
How does that guarantee work? Easy, simple, solid and safe. If I have investigated the problem, and fail to find the fault, I will offer you an apology in stead of a bill.
I am a heating engineer, and will either sort the problem out myself, or be in direct contact with the engineer that does.
Why is it important that I am local and deal with the problem myself?
My combi boiler repairs in South east London and Bromley are so much appreciated because the buck stops with me, as simple as that.
Have you ever had a problem with your phone?
The gas company? First you talk to a machine, then you are on hold for 10 minutes, and when you finally do talk to a real human being, it's a chap in India who has no idea what you
are on about, let alone how to sort it out.
My charges are reasonable; maybe not the cheapest in the coutry, but certainly not the most expensive.
What is a reasonable charge? Although it is impossible to give a concrete answer to that, as it depends entirely on the fault, my rates are roughly half of those of the big national
repair companies like the ones with the large adds in one of the directories that people used to use, and Big Gascompany prices,
I offer results, not excuses. Today if half possible, not next week or next month.
Were you given the old chestnut about parts no longer being available for your boiler? 9 out of 10 times, I can find them, and fix the problem for a lot less than the price of a new boiler.
Repairing combis is more complicated than repairing or servicing one of those big old floor standing heaters like the Potterton Kingfisher or Ideal Mexico. There are a lot more parts,
and a lot more elec onics than before. There are literally hundreds of different models and a lot of them have their own peculiarities.
One thing that almost all of them have in common, whether a "normal" combi or a condensing model, is that they are what is called room-sealed. This means that they do not need
a ventilation opening to the outside for the combustion. A lot of the older models do need ventilation if they are built in a cupboard, but that is for cooling to avoid overheating.
Condensing boilers have been compulsory since 2005, and because they are so efficient, most of them only need a little bit of space around them and can otherwise be completely boxed in.
