Plumbing repairs in South London and
Bromley is the very nature of my business. I can of
course do installations of anything to do with plumbing from
bathrooms to central heating systems if need be. My specialisation however, is repairs. If you suddenly find yourself
sitting in the cold South London or
Bromley and need plumbing repairs including boilers and central heating, I am there for you.

Central heating boiler repair in South East and South West London is my main
area of work, but I also work as a gas plumber ( or central heating engineer ) in West Kent. Places
like Croydon and Bromley are often on my route, and I also
venture into what officially would be Surrey.
The kind of plumbing repairs I do in South
London varies. I can work on storage water systems, but am just
as happy to work on pressurised system. Mains water is no problem
either, and hot or cold is the same to me. As a result my plumbing
repairs South London service is very broad.
The most difficult of these, is what I do most. Fault finding and repairing
of central heating systems.
The most common form
these days, is the system that is powered by a wall hung combi. The
vast majority of these have a sealed system that works above
atmospheric pressure. That is why it is also known as a pressurised
system. The two are different words for exactly the same
thing. The other system, known as the open-vent system is
slowly disappearing. Though it has certain advantages, it also has a
couple of disadvantages.
Working as a gas plumber in West Kent, I see the latter more there than when doing plumbing
repairs in South London. Without a doubt, the biggest
disadvantage of open vent system is the vastly increased chance of
corrosion. Another problem that can take quite a bit of time to
solve, is what is known as air-locks. It is literally nothing more
than an air bubble in the pipes somewhere, but can take hours to
find and remove. Simple as the job in essence is, it can be a rather
costly affair.
Coming across the results of these inherent
problems doing plumbing repairs in South London, I get often asked
to if you can change open vent systems to pressurised or sealed
systems. The answer is: yes, it can almost always be
done. Irrespective of what the problem is, 99% of the time I
can identify the problem, and provide a solution. It is a very rare
case indeed where I have to advise to replace the existing system.
It does happen, but it really is the exception that confirms the
rule.

Once or twice a year I come across something that has deteriorated so far, that it
is just false economy to repair it. And when it happens, there are
usually two contributing factors. Very often, it is poor quality.
When I see the work that has been done, it tends look like a DIY-er
with little time or enthusiasm had a go at it in stead of a real central heating engineer. That would explain
why the materials that were used often seem to have come from a
discount DIY store.
Plumbing repairs in South London
and Bromley for me really mean:
repair. As long as what is there, was of a decent
quality when it was bought and not totally disintegrated, it can
usually be saved. That is why I literally mean it when I say: I do
plumbing repairs in South London (and of course any type of water leak repair South London). Plumbing repairs
South London means repairing, replacing is something else.
